LEADERSHIP SAN ANTONIO KICKS OFF CLASS 46 WITH RECEPTION

The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce leadership formally introduced the 46th class of the esteemed Leadership San Antonio (LSA) program during the annual Welcome Reception last week. The reception serves as the first opportunity for Steering Committee members and class members to meet and begin relationship building for the upcoming class year.

The reception, held at Casa Hernan and hosted by True Flavors Catering, served as the perfect setting for the class members to hear the year’s vision from LSA Co-Chairs, Stacy Larson (Frost Bank retired) and Anne-Marie Grube (Avante Wealth) in addition to meeting the 2022 Board Chairs for each respective Chamber. Phil Green, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cullen/Frost Bankers, Inc. and Frost Bank was introduced by San Antonio Chamber President and CEO Richard Perez, and Denise Hernandez, Vice President of Development for True Flavors Catering, welcomed the guests to Casa Hernan. She also provided remarks as the 2022 Board Chair for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Both leaders applauded the work of the volunteer Steering Committee for their role in selecting such a diverse and talented cohort and encouraged the class members to take advantage of the unique benefits that the LSA program provides, from networking to learning valuable ways to provide business solutions and support to challenges in the community.

“I’m so excited to meet the new class. These 57 individuals, who are now strangers, will become like family by the end of the year. They will be challenged to provide a class day that is engaging, inspiring, and impactful, which will expand their professional network and expose them to viewpoints they have likely never considered,” relayed Lori Stinson, San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Military Affairs and Leadership Development, who serves as the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce liaison to the program. “This welcome reception is a way for our Chamber leadership to begin to show them the caliber of peers they will be collaborating with and see first-hand the support the Chambers provide personally and professionally to ensure they have the best experience imaginable.”

LSA 46 will officially begin with an Opening Retreat in January of 2022 and will meet the first Wednesday of each month in the coming year culminating in a graduation and closing retreat in October of 2022. The class days will revolve around creating an immersive experience for participants to learn about San Antonio’s growing industries, how best to support the citizens who represent all walks of life within our great city, and how to propel business and economic success well into the future.
